We interrupt this program to bring you a brief message from your editor! Your regularly scheduled programming will resume at its normal time following this announcement…
Hello everyone, I’m Mike, and I’m the editor-in-chief of DYNAMO_politics. I just wanted to take this opportunity to say two things, and then I promise we’ll let you return to our fascinating coverage of the Republican and Democratic National Conventions.
First, I want to tell you that this last month – the month of August – has been our most successful ever! We’ve welcomed new contributors to our site – like Rett, our token liberal – and for the first time we’ve broken the viewership record we set last May. Over 1,300 people have read DYNAMO articles since August 1, and we’re well on our way to the next milestone of 10,000 visits (and no, mine don’t count)!
Second, I wanted to thank you – the loyal reader – for your continued support. This site would be pointless if I were talking to a wall with it. Fortunately, you are probably not a wall – or, if you are, I am impressed by your ability to read and process information like a human. How did you acquire this power? Are there other skills that walls possess of which mankind has no knowledge? If you can read, can you also talk? Because if the walls in my dorm could talk, well…
Sorry. What I was trying to say was, “thank goodness our readers are not walls. Thank goodness they’re people with eyes and ears and brains who can read something, understand it, judge it and respect it.” Because frankly I think we need a lot more of that in our political discourse. Don’t you?
Oh, looks like we’re out of time. You will now be returned to your regularly scheduled programing. Thanks again for your time and for your support, sport!
From your editor,
